Princess Leia and I have something in COMMON!

I just heard that Carrie Fisher is doing Jenny Craig, too! I'm so excited!! I adore her. Think she's one of the funniest women around. Brilliant writer. Terrific actress. And now a source of inspiration and support on my weight-loss journey.

I finished reading Valerie Bertinelli's book Losing It the other day, and she's another Jenny Craig spokeswoman who is inspirational and witty and a whole lot more like me than I'd ever imagine.

I'm finding boatloads of inspiration lately, between following Jenny Craig and watching The Biggest Loser.

I hope this continues. I really want to reach my goal this time. I'm tired of the yo-yo.

I remember the first time I heard the name "Les Anderson." A bunch of Wichita State University communication majors were sitting around on campus, talking about classes they planned to take. Several people warned me: watch out for Les Anderson. He was tough. He had a murderous grading scale. It was nearly impossible to get an A. They weren't kidding. But he wasn't tough just to be a tyrant. From his teaching sprang a fleet of incredible, successful journalists, writers, editors, broadcasters, public relations experts, advertisers, non-profit professionals...I could go on and on.
