A certain someone said the church I've been going to sounds like one for hippie agostics**.

It's actually a church that values:
• The inherent worth and dignity of every person
• Justice, equity, and compassion
• Acceptance encouragement to spiritual growth
• A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
• The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process
• The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
• Respect for the interdependent web of all existence


If that's being a hippie agnostic, sign me up any day.

okay, so you've got a typo which reads agostic instead of agnostic.
so i've been debating myself whether to let you know, and sound like a compulsive a-hole, or to ignore it.

Whoa, hope I didn't offend with my earlier post. I simply meant agnostic in the "noncommittal" sense of the word. In this context, taking a little bit from many different religions (except Islam extremism, I suppose).

As for hippie, I meant the peace-loving, flower-smelling, interdependant community web dwelling, non-bath taking, non-armpit shaving sense of the word (just kidding).

Anyway, I wasn't trying to judge, since (God knows) I'm no angel.

(Can someone check my grammar and punctuation please?)

In memoriam...

I remember the first time I heard the name "Les Anderson." A bunch of Wichita State University communication majors were sitting around on campus, talking about classes they planned to take. Several people warned me: watch out for Les Anderson. He was tough. He had a murderous grading scale. It was nearly impossible to get an A. They weren't kidding. But he wasn't tough just to be a tyrant.
