Circa 1986

Nothing like a 1980s teen film to chase the blues away, at least for an hour or two.

A girl from the wrong side of the tracks, a geeky new-waver who worships her, a rich high school hunk who has her eye, and John Hughes. HBO presents Pretty in Pink. Gotta love cable.

I still think she made a mistake. She should've skipped the preppie and chosen the geek.

I want you to know that, despite my appearance at this function, I am now, and will always be...a duck man.
-- Phil "Ducky" Dale (Jon Cryer)

Why did we, as adolescents, think that twerp Andrew McCarthy was cute?

A blog-land shout out to Amy's growing fan base in Iceland, Japan, southeast Asia, northern Europe, and South America. Inquiring minds want to know--who the heck are you?

I actually read the book after I saw the movie (it was written based on the movie, not the other way around and it was really bad BUT....) In the book, she chooses Ducky. Yay
Hope you have a great day!

I love the lovely 80s movies. Just last week (I think?) I caught The Breakfast Club. :) GREAT movie.

And yes, she should have chosen Ducky, but Andrew McCarthy was so dreamy!
